A Welcome Re-invitation

Getting asked to be a part of someone’s wedding is wonderful enough, but getting asked back by a sister of a past bride is even more special. When Connie asked me to be her make-up artist for her Adelaide wedding, I knew it would be another wonderful Blefari wedding. And I wasn’t wrong.

Simply beautiful.  All photos are courtesy of the phenomenal Claudio Raschella who photographed Connie & Chris’ wedding.

Connie wore an exquisite Jenny Packham gown and Rapsimo veil.

Make up was soft and romantic with creamy glowing skin and a few false lashes.

Boris the Cuttery was the team involved in styling Connie’s hair in beautiful water waves and a faux bob.

They also styled the bridesmaids with textured updos.

The florists at The Turquoise Rose delivered Connie’s beautiful bouquet of freesias, peonies, spray roses, lisianthus, snapdragon and dusty miller.

For the bridesmaids…

And for the bride

Nepenthe Wines was the backdrop for Connie & Chris’s ceremony and reception.

The menu featured only South Australian produce and was cooked by renowned chef Todd Steele.  Highlights included the Spencer Gulf seafood platter and roman gnocchi with crumbed ricotta.

In keeping with the South Australian theme and coming from a family of wine makers, Connie and Chris served Blefari sparkling and Nepenthe wine.

There was cake…

And celebrations ran long into the night.

Connie was kind enough to write me this testimonial:

Sonia is the absolute best in the makeup business and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

On my wedding day, I wanted to look natural and flawless, and Sonia delivered above and beyond my highest expectations.  Sonia managed to enhanced my best features and give me flawless skin, and yet I felt and looked as though I was wearing very little makeup.

My makeup, including my lip colour, lasted all day through humidity, rain and sunshine. Even my husband, who would rarely comment on such things, felt compelled to say how natural it looked.

Not only did Sonia provide exceptional service on my wedding day, in the months leading up she provided support to tailor my beauty routine as well as importantly taking on feedback from my trial to make sure I got exactly what I wanted.

My only regret is that I live in a different state to Sonia so I can’t easily have her do my makeup for other special occasions!

Thank you Connie for inviting me to be a part of your day.  You are a bride I will always remember.

If you are getting married and looking for a make-up artist, please get in touch here.  I do travel interstate, especially if like Connie, you are an Adelaide bride!  Any excuse for a trip home.
